Visiting Elnic

Elnic featured in "Discovery Channel" video

Starting at 10 minutes this video shows a mock-up of the BC Place Stadium for Vancouver (one slice of the oval roof). It was set up near Seattle for testing purposes. The textile roof must open up and be filled with air (air cushion roof). Then the cushions have to be emptied again (air has to be sucked out) and the membrane has to be retracted into the centre cabin of the roof and stowed away there. Elnic has developped and built the air blower station. It regulates the inflation, deflation and conditioning of the cushions.
